ABSTRACT
This review outlines the foundational requirements for safely managing medical emergencies during interventional pain procedures. It emphasizes staff preparedness, continuous patient monitoring, emergency response planning, transfer protocols, and the availability of essential crash cart equipment, medications, and airway supplies. The review highlights the importance of regular training, Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support competency, and systematic risk mitigation to optimize patient outcomes during unforeseen emergencies.
