DEADLINE to respond: April 28, 2024 | Congress appropriated $10 million for a new peer reviewed Arthritis Research Program (ATRP)

Published on April 16, 2024

Congress appropriated $10 million for a new peer reviewed Arthritis Research Program (ATRP) as part of the Department of Defense budget in the 2024 Further Consolidated Appropriations Act.  The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) will manage the ATRP according to congressional intent to support research relating to all forms of arthritis, including osteoarthritis, posttraumatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

This e-mail is to notify arthritis community stakeholders, including but not limited to the research, clinical, and patient communities, of the FY24 ATRP Request for Information (RFI) posted on SAM.gov at:

https://sam.gov/opp/0e3b8d2118474b2abbb09f1b9f2eb429/view

Responses to the RFI will assist the program in assessing the arthritis research landscape and support market research in the identification of high priority research gap areas with the potential to transform arthritis care and outcomes. It is anticipated that responses to this RFI should take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Responses are requested by 4:00 PM (EDT) APRIL 28, 2024.

Note: The CDMRP will hold a virtual ATRP Stakeholders meeting in May 2024 to bring together individuals with relevant expertise and experience from the arthritis community to further discuss potential knowledge gaps, targeted outcomes, and product needs that can advance the state of the science and improve patient care.

The CDMRP will select from stakeholders who respond to this RFI for invitation to participate in the virtual Stakeholders meeting.

Response to this RFI does not guarantee an invitation.

This RFI should not be construed as a funding solicitation or an obligation on the part of the ATRP or the Department of Defense.

Thank you for the consideration,

ATRP Team
